Saugus, Zone 4 Update, Public Safety & Crime Prevention Information

This week we had three reported Part-1 crimes. The first was a residential burglary in the 28600 block of Kathleen Avenue between December 24th and December 25th. The victim discovered that items had been stolen out of her purse which had been left at the residence. After checking the rest of her residence she discovered other items missing. Detectives are working the case.

Icebound Antarctic ship awaits helicopter rescue

Closures for I-5 HOV Improvement Project (SR-170 – Buena Vista Street)

San Fernando Valley – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the following lanes and ramps of the Golden State Freeway (I-5) as part of a $121 million improvement project to construct High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV or carpool) lanes in each direction along I-5 between SR-170 to Buena Vista Street. Closures are subject to change. Detours will be signed.
