Cross-valley connector reduces traffic across city, engineers say

Open one week, the city of Santa Clarita's cross-valley connector has already reduced traffic by 30 percent during peak hours and by 24 percent overall on Soledad Canyon Road near the Bouquet junction, according to city traffic engineers.

West Ranch teamwork, creativity win TV contest

On March 2, West Ranch TV drove to Anaheim to compete in the 2010 Student Television Network Convention. For five nights and six days, the TV production students worked to create a 15-minute broadcast, film and several individual productions. This year's competition was more successful than ever before, and the students were proud to come home with six awards, including first place in the Blue division Sweet 16 broadcast and second place in the film category.
