Ken Keller: Advice on getting from here to there

A great deal of my material for this weekly column comes from my own personal experiences or from observation.

Gary Horton: We’ve got to float our national boat

There are few things a boat full of Democrats, Republicans and independents can agree upon besides "Want another beer?" But when night comes and you're out in the dark in the deep blue sea, that's when conversation turns more serious.

Thank you, McFarland

In response to "An unholy alliance at city hall" (July 27): Thank you, Bruce McFarland. Your good citizenship is helping us all by giving a view of what you see. An orchestra of media, opinion

Has anybody read the hatred and other dubious ideas depicted in JournoList? It's pretty outrageous. The slavish behavior these journalists have shown is amazing.

Reject private libraries in SCV

I strongly oppose the proposal for the city to take over the three county libraries in Santa Clarita. What's the point? There’s a problem

You don't have to be a constitutional lawyer to realize there's a problem in America when the federal government defines to the last detail what a health-insurance policy must look like - and then forces every citizen to buy one.

David Hegg: Making sense of your success

I often attend conferences where the attendees are given name tags that boldly announce who they are. This creates a phenomenon rarely seen elsewhere. As we walk the halls of the conference center or hotel, our eyes are fixed on the name tags of those we pass. We're anxious to see if they are "somebody." Is he a well-known speaker?

Bob Kellar: Santa Clarita will continue to thrive

Now that our city has survived another local election, I thought it would be appropriate to make some comments regarding elections and city hall. After all, things can get pretty exciting, or should I say concerning around election time in Santa Clarita.
