Saugus zone update, public safety and crime prevention information

We had only two reported Part-1 crimes over the past week. The first was a commercial burglary from Airsoft and Hobby World on January 5th. The suspect was seen breaking the front window of the location. He entered the business and stole an airsoft rifle before fleeing. Deputies responded, however they were unable to locate the suspect. Santa Clarita detectives are actively working the case.

Santa Clarita to begin Railroad Avenue beautification project

The City of Santa Clarita will construct a new landscaped median on Railroad Avenue between 13th Street and Oak Ridge Drive as part of the Railroad Avenue Beautification Project.
