Shelley and G. Marshall Hann have lived in the Santa Clarita Valley for 19 years, most of their time was spent in Stevenson Ranch. However, last year Shelley Hann found her dream home on a quiet cul-de-sac in Westridge.

Family-friendly BBQ

It's a location with a long history of great barbecue. The corner of White's Canyon and Soledad Canyon Roads (Canyon Center) in Canyon Country previously housed a Santa Clarita Valley institution, Rattler's, for more than 20 years. Now, that venerated location is home to T-Bo's House of BBQ.

Respect, discipline and courage

The three boys bowed to their instructors and reached out to receive the symbol of their accomplishments - the coveted top-level white belt representing the highest achievement for their age group. Parents seated nearby took photos and videos of the momentous occasion.

Heroes and high hopes at auction

There were heroes and high hopes Saturday at the 38th annual benefit auction for the Boys & Girls Club of the Santa Clarita Valley. "Lighting our Future - a Black and White Benefit" garnered nearly $235,000 to help fund operations, said Jim Ventress, chief professional officer of the club which operates three facilities for SCV youth.
