Who would have imagined the promised "change-you-can-believe-in" philosophy would include a "dump-the-geezers" reality? We thought it was just another pretty term for the fast track to European-style socialism.
Well, our friends the Democrats are at it again. Just when the public has become mesmerized by billion-dollar bailouts, massive spending programs masqueraded as stimulus packages and trillion-dollar deficits, the Dems want to invest more taxpayers' newly printed money into universal healthcare and a cap-and-trade system.
Carl and Jeri Seratti Goldman's fourth annual KHTS-AM 1220 Sacramento Road Trip March 23-24 was indeed a huge success. I don't know which I enjoyed more, California Assemblyman Cameron Smyth's well-planned program of legislative speakers or the bonding necessitated by a six-hour bus ride with 70 Santa Claritans. It's a toss-up.
