Lady Mustangs show no quit
The Master's College women's basketball team finished the regular season on a high note Monday night, but just barely. After Fresno Pacific guard Bricali Cooley sent the game to overtime with a 3-pointer at the buzzer, the Mustangs regained control of the game and edged the Sunbirds 67-63 at Bross Gym.

The College of the Canyons' women's basketball team edged out Mt. San Jacinto Friday night at the Cougar Cage 81-77 in the Southern California South Region Semifinals. Calm under pressure
With the game on the line, Canyon's chance to advance to the second round of the CIF-Southern Section Division III boys soccer playoffs rested on Cowboys sophomore Jordan Markovich. The goalkeeper diving right, Markovich sent the ball low, left and to the back of the net in the 80th minute, giving Canyon a 1-0 win over Lynwood at Harry Welch Stadium on Friday.
