Desi commits to Air Force
Saugus quarterback Desi Rodriguez verbally committed to the Air Force Academy earlier this month following a home visit from Falcons defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter. "The education is like an Ivy League school, and I get to play football in Division I. You can't beat that," Rodriguez said.
Perseverance
It has been a little over three years since Austin Civita and Canyon High defeated Hart, 21-13 to win the CIF-State title in 2005. Now, Civita has three days to prepare for his latest opportunity.

The eight teams participating in the fourth annual 2009 AMGEN Tour of California were announced Thursday, among them were cycling legend Lance Armstrong and Levi Leipheimer's Astana Cycling Team. Armstrong is new to Astana after announcing he would join the Kazakh-financed team on Sept. 24 amidst much speculation.
