GV boys hoops close to the top

Welcome to "Around the Divisions." Every Tuesday, you will become educated about the competition outside the Foothill League. We'll give you a breakdown of the top teams, based off of CIF-Southern Section polls, competing in the same divisions as the Foothill League teams. So when it comes to playoff time, you will know who to look out for. We debut this week with a look at boys basketball. There are five Foothill teams that are currently ranked in the Southern Section. They play in four different divisions. Here's how the top three teams in each division look.

Hart girls hoops team forfeits wins

The Hart High girls basketball team is the second Santa Clarita Valley prep sports program in as many days forced to forfeit all of its wins and dismiss a player because of falsification of residency.
