Golden Valley cross country runner Seth Totten fought a losing battle Saturday morning in Walnut at the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships. The junior fought the pain of a dislocated metatarsal in his right foot, but was unable to finish the five-kilometer Boys Seeded Race at Mt. San Antonio College.

Another week, another accomplishment for the Hart girls golf team. Considered to be one of the top teams in the Los Angeles area, the Indians cruised to a first-place finish at Foothill League match No. 2 Wednesday at El Cariso Golf Course in Sylmar.

As College of the Canyons head football coach Garett Tujague argued for some of his players to make the All-Western State Conference teams at the post-regular season conference meeting, two players were notably up for discussion. Tujague's peers thought Jonathon Hollins and Dejuan Yates were the same guy.
