The Hart High girls basketball team is the second Santa Clarita Valley prep sports program in as many days forced to forfeit all of its wins and dismiss a player because of falsification of residency.
We should learn from this
Stan Delus was relieved of his duties as Canyon High girls basketball head coach Wednesday night, and the Cowboys had to forfeit all 11 wins for this season, because residency records for transfer players Vanessa Aguilar and Alexa Davison were falsified.
Bustos nears pro deal
Within a couple of weeks, Canyon High graduate and three-time Olympic softball medalist Crystl Bustos will be signing a contact to resume playing with the Akron Racers of the National Pro Fastpitch league.

The road to a Foothill League championship in girls basketball has gone through Newhall Avenue. Hart High has won seven straight titles, including a share of the crown last year with Saugus.

Hart High head basketball coach Zach Koebel goes one-on-one with a select few of his players at practice. Megan Ford, now a center at Cal Poly Pomona, was one of his favorites last year in his first season leading the Indians.

Former Indian named Player of Week Hart High graduate Megan Ford was named Wilson California Collegiate Athletic Association Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of December 29 - January 3.
