A woman and two men found hiding outside a Stevenson Ranch home Monday following a residential burglary in Castaic pleaded not guilty to charges in San Fernando Superior Court this week.

The three defendants — Jumua Jaihad Zhaytoon, Rafiki Ras Smith and Kiyon Hakim Hodges — entered their pleas Wednesday to two counts each of first-degree residential burglary, said Jane Robison of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office.

The woman was found hiding in a trash can and the two men hiding in an empty hot tub following a high-speed chase on Interstate 5 south from Castaic, where they were believed involved in the burglary of a home.
