Two brothers spent Easter in custody after they were arrested on Sunday morning after they decided to settle a dispute by using baseball bats on each other at the Castaic Days Inn late Saturday night, according to officials.

Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station responded to a report of assault at the Days Inn located at 31410 Castaic Road late Saturday evening. Upon investigation, deputies learned both men were in a nearby trailer. When they searched the trailer and the nearby area, neither man was immediately found. However, both were arrested Sunday morning.

Christian Cardenas, an 18-year-old Hispanic male, was arrested shortly after deputies began their investigation. His brother, 23-year-old Jonathan Cardenas, was arrested on Sunday morning.

Both were charged with assault with a deadly weapon and infliction of great bodily injury. No further information, such as where the suspects reside or bail amount, was released by deputies.
