It’s time to do something about our poor-performing Congress

It doesn’t matter if one is a Democrat, Republican or Independent, there is a political reality that makes no sense.

It’s certainly something to ponder: Congress, for a long, long time, has been getting poor ratings from the American public.

A recent poll revealed only a 10 percent approval rating, and yet 90 percent of incumbents get re-elected.

It’s simply amazing.

The vast majority of us think Congress is doing an extremely lousy job, and yet we continually re-elect the very people doing the lousy job.

If we were only 10 percent satisfied with the make and model of the car we are driving this year, would we buy the same make and model next year?

Of course not!

If you were only 10 percent satisfied with you present spouse, a divorce would most likely be in you future.

Isn’t it time we divorced ourselves from unsatisfactory congressmen and women? Of course it is!

Some of these people have been in office 10, 20, 30 years and more.

Ah, but who to put in their place. Does it really matter? Probably not. It can’t get much worse than what we have now.

Let’s do something.

Any ideas?
