This Bank of America surveillance photo helped in the capture of a suspect in Wednesday's Canyon Country robbery.

A Santa Clarita Superior Court judge will arraign Scott Price on Monday for his alleged role in a Canyon Country bank robbery.

Deputies arrested Price late Thursday night at an apartment complex in the 27000 Block of Solamint Road in Canyon Country, less than 2 miles from the bank.

Price, 45, of Canyon Country, allegedly entered the Bank of America in the 19100 block of Soledad Canyon Road just before 2:40 p.m. holding a note demanding money and a gun, said Sgt. Darren Harris of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.

Price allegedly passed a note to a teller demanding money and escaped with an undisclosed amount, Harris said.

Deputies used the video surveillance from the bank and community tips to identify the suspect, according to a Sheriff's Department statement.

Deputies recovered what they believe is the vehicle during the bank robbery. Deputies recovered additional evidence connected to the case from Price's home, according to a Sheriff's Department statement.

Deputies booked Price on a felony robbery charge and he is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.

If convicted, he faces up to five years in state prison, according to a Sheriff's Department news release.
