Linda Candib of Valencia wins Escape’s Salt Creek Grille Oscar pickin’ contest

It wasn't even close. Linda Candib of Valencia blew away the competition in Escape's annual Salt Creek Grille Oscar pickin' contest. She missed only four from the list of 24 awards handed out Sunday night during the 81st annual Academy Awards.

Candib's misses including Viola Davis in "Doubt" for supporting actress, "Waltz with Bashir" for foreign film, "The Dark Knight" for sound mixing and "The Witness from the Balcony of Room 306" for documentary short subject.

Candib wins a $50 gift certificate from Salt Creek Grille on Town Center Drive in Valencia for her good guessing ability.

Rosalind Pargas of Saugus came in second place with nine wrong. Tricia Nelson of Canyon Country and Melanie Breckenridge of Castaic earned third place finishes with 10 incorrect. They also both missed five in the tiebreaker category of the Razzies.
