PICO RIVERA, Calif. (AP) — Los Angeles County authorities say there's no evidence that drugs or alcohol were involved in a head-on car crash that killed three people, including two children.

Sheriff's officials say a Honda Civic was traveling at high speed in Pico Rivera on Thursday night when it crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a Nissan Sentra.

The 22-year-old Honda driver died at the scene along with two of his passengers, both 13-year-old boys who were thrown from the car.

A third boy who was ejected and a woman passenger were critically injured.

Two women in the Nissan were hospitalized in serious condition.
