A traffic collision involving a gasoline tanker and a cement truck on Highway 14 near Placerita Canyon Road tied up traffic for more than three hours Wednesday, a California Highway Patrol sergeant said.

CHP officers received reports of the two trucks colliding in the northbound lanes of the highway shortly after 4:45 a.m. Wednesday about a quarter mile north of Placerita, said CHP Sgt. John Lutz.

There were no injuries or fuel spills as a result of the crash, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department spokeswoman.

“It was the northbound lanes, so traffic wasn’t as bad as it could have been,” Lutz said.
At 8 a.m., tow truck operators were still working to remove the two trucks.
