LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities say a pedestrian was struck and killed by a Metrolink commuter train in eastern Los Angeles County.

Coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter tells City News Service the man died Tuesday morning in Claremont. His name is being held until officials notify his relatives.

Metrolink officials say the westbound train was carrying about 350 passengers who were transferred to another train.

Other trains were allowed to pass through the area on a second track but some delays were reported.
