LOS ANGELES (AP) — A report of a possible man with a gun has Los Angeles police continuing to search a Veterans Affairs clinic in the San Fernando Valley.

Officer Bruce Borihanh says the call came in shortly after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and officers were sent to search the Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center in North Hills.

Officers are methodically going through the 220,000 square-foot facility, aided by medical personnel, to search every nook of the large facility. Borihanh says there have been no other calls, threats or sightings to confirm the report.

Borihanh says there is no large-scale evacuation but patients and staff are being sent outside buildings during searches, then permitted back when the area is cleared.
