Ms. Gajewski is to be congratulated for her story “The cowboy life through song” (The Signal, Feb. 9).

This was a fine, inspiring piece of journalism, and we thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It’s a wonderful profile of a local treasure.

I went on the Cross-Town Cowboys’ Web site, listened to the music, watched the videos. Everything on the Web site is a lot of fun.

I even ordered their CD. On their schedule page I saw all of their upcoming concerts. Then it hit me: The Cross-Town Cowboys are not performing at the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival. Why is this?

Our town should be supporting and promoting local gems like the Cross-Town Cowboys.

In years past local talent was abundant at the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival. I, for one, would really like to see them perform at our Cowboy Fest.
