Members of the Santa Clarita City Council will hold a special meeting Tuesday to ask for additional time to review documents on plans to reduce the level of chloride in the Santa Clara River.

The meeting will be held at 5 p.m. in City Hall, 23920 Valencia Blvd.

At the special meeting, council members will discuss requesting additional time to review the draft environmental impact report for the plan. As it stands, the public commenting period for the plan ends June 24.
