The Los Angeles County Commission for Women and the County Board of Supervisors named College of the Canyons Chancellor Dianne Van Hook to receive a 2009 Women of the Year Award. She will be honored at the 24th Annual Women of the Year Awards Luncheon  March 16.

Van Hook created New Horizons, a re-entry program to help women enter the workforce by giving them access to the training and support services and has worked consistently to champion women’s equity issues throughout her career.
