SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — There are no reports of damage or injuries after a 4.3 magnitude earthquake hit off the coast of Northern California.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake hit at 6:46 a.m. Saturday 34 miles southwest of Eureka.

USGS geophysicist Paul Caruso says the agency has received reports that it was felt in Eureka and nearby Ferndale, but a Eureka police dispatcher says she did not feel the quake, and the department had not received any calls about the earthquake.

Initially the quake had been reported as having a 4.4 magnitude, but was revised to a 4.3 after being reviewed by a seismologist.
