An outdoor fire around supper time Saturday ended up spreading to a house, emergency response officials said.

Shortly before 6 p.m., a fire described as an “outdoor fire” in the front yard of a house on Saddleridge Way on the south side of Hasley Canyon Park and Live Oak Elementary School in Castaic, ignited the exterior wall of the house, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

“The fire scorched the outside of the wall and burned to the roof line,” he said.

“It’s out now,” he said at 6:20 p.m.

Despite firefighters requesting an ambulance respond to the scene no one was hurt in the incident.

Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the fire, said Lt. John Rush.

“We rolled up to a house fire,” he said. “Nobody was hurt.

All occupants were reportedly out of the house when the fire spread to the building.
