Lessons to be learned

The Boston bombing brought to light a very clever way of carrying out covert operations in another country. Our own CIA can learn from the Tsarnaev brothers on how to conduct an operation and have that country finance it for them.

We can send operatives to a targeted country and have them go on welfare, get student loans and grants while building bombs and wreaking havoc. Think of how much money could be saved by using this system instead of sneaking around and using funding from our own government.

Should the US want to track terrorists it has been proven that Homeland Security is not the way to go. The Department of Homeland Security does not seem to be up to the task so why not disband it and go to a proven method that has proven itself successful for years.

When law enforcement wanted to determine familial ties in organized crime they adapted existing investment tracking software to the purpose and computerized link analysis was born. What our government could do is hire Amazon.com to adapt their customer tracking software to tracking terrorists. They do a fantastic job of offering me books on a bizarre variety of subjects.

Keep it simple, eliminate duplication, wasted funding and improve the rate of success.
