Los Angeles County firefighters responded to a commercial structure fire in Canyon Country at 7:58 p.m. Thursday.

The fire started in one business in a one-story strip mall on Ruether Avenue and two other businesses were affected.

No injuries were reported.

Fire damage was reported at JKV Creations Inc., a woodworking shop, and two adjacent businesses received smoke damage, Battalion Chief Tom Stukey said.

Access to Ruether Avenue south of Soledad Canyon Road was blocked by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's deputies for at least one hour after the fire was reported.

Los Angeles County Fire Station #104 knocked down the fire by 8:11 p.m., a county fire official said. More than a dozen firefighers responded to the blaze and none were hurt.
