I would like to thank you once again for signing up for the Nixle service and reading my weekly crime prevention update. Connecting with local law enforcement via social media is extremely important. With the Nixle instant notification system, the Sheriff’s Department can communicate accurate, timely, and reliable information directly to the public via your cell phones or email. New e-Communication technologies allow us to send messages directly to the public and the news media. Now, whether our story is covered by the mainstream news outlets or not, we know our message will reach thousands of people. This is just one of the many ways we are utilizing social media in keeping our community safe.
