Residents of the Northbridge area of Valencia celebrated the chance to splash and float again Wednesday after their HOA pool was shut down for nine months due to vandalism that cost some $325,000 to repair.

The renovated North Valencia pool complex was reopened after more than nine months of repairs required by vandals dumping seven gallons of paint into it, ruining more than $300,000 of pipes and infrastructure.

The association had to rip up the pool’s entire plumbing to repair it.
