Our weakness shows

Jonathan Kraut’s "Blame the bombers and nothing else" (April 23) is right about one thing: the acts perpetrated by the alleged Boston Marathon bombers the Tsarnaev brothers; Newtown’s Adam Lanza; and cop terrorist Christopher Darner were all seeded in hate.

But that’s the limit of their similarities.

The brothers hate America; Lanza was a mentally ill individual under serious psychiatric care who drew pictures of shooting people that the psychiatrist failed to reveal to authorities; and Darner garnered hate over his job and believed he was persecuted for the color of his skin.

The tone of Kraut’s commentary lacks the question "where is the outrage?" What in this country has to happen before people take to the streets in pure outrage at radical Islam?

Americans must be visibly outraged and tell our jellyfish, gutless leaders to name the terrorism, stop the political correctness and protect us.

The dead Tsarnaev brother had a neon red warning arrow on him in full view of the FBI, yet he still moved about undetected to murder and maim.

Recently I was in the audience for a talk by author and human-rights activist Nonie Darwish. She is Muslim-born (Egypt) and lived the Muslim life before coming to the U.S. at age 29.

She describes herself as an expert on the Koran and has testified before our Congress that the teachings are to hate Jews, Americans and Western culture in general.

Darwish will freely tell of the existence of lovely, non-radical Muslims, but the other side is thoroughly dangerous. That sect only knows war, does not want peace and clearly has no intention of listening to any outsider.

Attention, Obama administration and like-minded politicians: we do not need useless committees, worthless investigations or political grandstanding to get to the bottom line. These terrorists hate America, Americans and everything we stand for. Period.

When America through its government leaders fails to respond adequately and face radicals and terrorism head-on, then the evil sect is empowered.

With these continuing attacks, we are weak — and it shows.
