Santa Clarita Valley residents enjoyed sunny skies Friday as highs hit 80 degrees, but lower temperatures are forecast for the weekend, with a chance of rain by Sunday night.

Plenty of sunshine is forecast Saturday with highs of 74, but patchy fog is expected Sunday in the Santa Clarita Valley, National Weather Service forecasters said Friday.

Highs Sunday will be around 71 degrees. A slight chance of rain will move into the area Sunday night, continuing Monday with mostly cloudy skies and a 20 percent chance of rain. High temperatures are forecast around 64 degrees Monday.

Patchy fog will continue Monday night and Tuesday morning.
