Traffic remained slow at 11:30 a.m. today on northbound Interstate 5 after a pair of crashes temporarily closed freeway lanes, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos said one crash occurred at 11:04 a.m. on the northbound I-5 at Calgrove Boulevard and involved two vehicles. The vehicles temporarily blocked two lanes in the area but have since been moved to the shoulder, Villalobos said.

At least one person was injured in that crash, and officials from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were called to the scene to treat injuries.

The second crash occurred at 11:07 a.m., on northbound I-5 at Roxford Street.

The collision involved up to three vehicles and caused one car to crash into the center divider.

The crash temporarily blocked the carpool lane in the area, but that vehicle has also been moved to the shoulder, Villalobos said.

CHP officials remained on the scene at 11:30 a.m. to investigate both incidents, Villalobos said. All lanes were open at that time.
