Saugus: Preliminary hearing set in murder case

A preliminary hearing date has been set in the case of a Saugus man accused of murdering his live-in girlfriend in September 2011.

The accused, Eric Allen Earle, will appear in San Fernando Superior Court on May 22 for the preliminary hearing.

Earle is suspected of murdering Saugus resident Karla Brada, his girlfriend at the time, on Sept. 1, 2011. He faces a charge of felony murder and a possible sentence of 25 years to life in prison if convicted.

Earle remains in custody at Men’s Central Jail on Bauchet Street in Los Angeles. His bail remains set at $1 million.
