California Highway Patrol officers and firefighters assess the scene where two big-rig trucks collided on the South bound Interstate 5 freeway near the Magic Mountain Parkway off ramp on Tuesday. Photo by Dan Watson.

One man received minor injuries and a load of milk was spilled onto the freeway Tuesday night when a tractor trailer rig rear-ended another on Interstate 5 near Magic Mountain Parkway, according to California Highway Patrol officials.

The 8:53 p.m. incident closed three lanes on the freeway for three hours while a Cal-Trans crew cleaned up the milk, officials said.

Carmen Ramirez, of San Bernardino, the driver of the tractor trailer that rear-ended the rig carrying milk, complained of pain. The driver of the other tractor trailer, Jose Grande of Los Angeles, was not injured.

Officials said that alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the incident.
