Five people suspected of identity theft after being arrested at a Stevenson Ranch hotel this week made a court appearance Wednesday and were scheduled to be arraigned next month.

A woman and four men, arrested together at the Residence Inn on Monday, are charged with willfully obtaining personal identifying information under California penal code section 530.5(a).

They were ordered to appear back in court next month to be arraigned on the charges and to enter a plea, a court official said.

Charged are; Stella Arias, 29, a Los Angeles graphic designer; Jose Luis Olea, a 27-year-old unemployed resident of Homeland, Calif., Victor Alfonso Martinez, 19, also unemployed of Los Angeles; Riverside student Juan Dominguez, 18, and Alvaro Hector Martinez, 22, a Los Angeles mechanic.

Deputies responded to a tip of a stolen car at the hotel found narcotics, narcotics paraphernalia and documents that could be used in identity theft in and around the car reported stolen, Sgt. Brian Allen said.
