A man was taken to the hospital today following a fist fight near the McDonalds Restaurant on Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country, emergency response officials said.

Shortly after 12:30 p.m., deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station received reports of an assault near the fast food restaurant on Soledad Canyon at Luther Drive, said Lt. Mark Hershey.

Initially, deputies were told one victim had been hit by a vehicle during the fight, but that turned out to be inaccurate, he said.

“It was a hands, fists and feet fight,” Hershey said.

At 12:37 p.m., Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics treated and took one person to the hospital from an area near the restaurant, said Supervisor Melanie Flores.

“We got the call from someone on a cell phone of two men fighting near a McDonalds,” she said. “One person was transported to hospital.”

Deputies, meanwhile, are looking for two men seen leaving the fight scene in a white Ford pickup truck.

The suspects were described as Hispanic men each wearing blue polo-style T-shirts, possibly work attire, with one of them estimated to be in his 30s.

They were last seen traveling eastbound on Soledad toward Sierra Highway.
