A Valencia woman faces a felony hit-and-run charge today for allegedly hitting a bicyclist in Newhall on Friday, then leaving the scene, court papers show.

Lindsay Feeley, 20, of Sand Wedge Lane in Valencia, was arrested Friday by Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s deputies and booked on suspicion of having left the scene of a traffic collision.

She is scheduled to appear in San Fernando Superior Court on a charge of hit and run causing injury or death, a felony.

Shortly before 10:30 p.m. Friday, firefighters received a report of a car hitting a pedestrian on Wiley Canyon Road at Wabuska Street in Newhall, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department said Wednesday.

“The call came in as an auto versus a pedestrian,” he said.

Paramedics found an injured male who was riding a bicycle without a helmet while crossing the intersection when he was hit, one firefighter said.

“He went to Henry Mayo (Newhall Memorial) Hospital as a traumatic injury,” the firefighter said.

Katreena Salgado, spokeswoman for the hospital, had no information on the victim’s condition. His identity was not released.
