Last weekend West Ranch High School participated in the 10th annual Student Television Network Convention (STN), a broadcast and filmmaking competition, held at the Westin Bonaventure in downtown LA. Although met with harsh time constraints and the competition of over 150 other schools from across the nation, the West Ranch Television crew placed extremely well, taking home 5 awards.

Congratulations to Christopher Konecnik, Sydney Malcolm, and Edan Morag for Second Place Commentary; Karina Corona and Makena Adams for Second Place Spot Feature; Remy Cashman for Third Place Sixty Second Silent Story; Steven Urbanovich, Jessica Newman, and Christian Parrish for Third Place Music Video, and finally, to the entire crew for Third Place Sweet 16 Film. West Ranch TV demonstrated phenomenal talent this year and is sure to do well at the STN convention in the years following.

The Child & Family Center Foundation will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary of Taste of the Town on Sunday, May 5th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Since 1976, their goal has been to provide mental health, behavioral and education services to children, adults and families in the Santa Clarita Valley. Each year, the center helps more than 3,300 children and 2, 500 adults with a broad range of comprehensive programs in prevention, evaluation and early intervention. They also offer therapeutic services including counseling, parenting classes, substance abuse recovery programs and crisis intervention. As community members this is one event you won’t want to miss; voted the “Best Charity Event in the SCV” for three years in a row. Be sure to visit often in the next few weeks and look for the beautiful banner advertising regarding this incredible event – it’s a great way to find out more information about this great event.

It has been called “The ultimate girl-spot”. It is said that this brand offers women’s luxury fashion, accessories and home décor, all at affordable prices. I am writing this to tell you that I have seen, and yes my friends, I will conquer the many beautiful areas of William B + Friends.

Walking into William B + Friends is like walking into a closet full of things that I myself have picked out for, you guessed it, me. Clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry, as well as things that make you smell mmmmmmmm!

I enjoy spending time inside William B + Friends and I think it is only fair to let some of their things spend time with me. Not only can I find something great, but everything is affordable.

Check them out at Westfield Valencia Town Center at The Patios. You will not be disappointed. You can check out many great places at Westfield Valencia Town Center and shop where Nikki shops, by watching Nikki Goes Shopping on There is a new show each and every Wednesday.
