A young girl who fell down stairs in Canyon Country was injured and airlifted to hospital today, emergency response officials said.
Shortly before 8 a.m., a girl two and a half years old suffered undisclosed injuries and was taken by helicopter to hospital, said Lt. Mark Hershey of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“A two-and-a-half-year-old girl fell down and was hurt,” he said.
At 7:59 a.m., paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department were dispatched to the an address on Stillmore Street, a Fire Department spokeswoman said.
“We got the call as an injury,” she said.
“A person fell down stairs from the second floor.”
The injured girl was taken by paramedics to a helicopter that landed on the football field of Sierra Vista Junior High School on Stillmore, between Whites Canyon Road and Camp Plenty Road, she said.
