Megan Gallagher was named the Omega League Player of the Year.

The Santa Clarita Christian girls soccer team dominated the Omega League from start to finish.

It’s only fair that the team dominated the All-Omega League selections as well.

SCCS senior Megan Gallagher was named league Player of the Year and 10 of her teammates earned first-team honors along with five others on the second team.

Gallagher, a four-year varsity player for the Cardinals, finished with 20 goals and 11 assists this year and she helped lead the Cardinals to a perfect 6-0 Omega League campaign.

SCCS finished (13-3-3) after advancing to the second round of the CIF-Southern Section Division VII playoffs.

Gallagher was part of a group of five seniors who played all four years at SCCS and experienced some of the most successful seasons in school history.

The other four in the group were Colette Blake, Madison Utley, Allie Haberstad and Christina Keoshian, who all made the All-Omega first team.

SCCS sophomore Lauren Gallagher, Megan’s younger sister, also made the first team after leading the team with 21 goals and 13 assists.

Others Cardinals on the first team included senior Alyssa Karle, Tiffany Shroyer, Makenna Gale and freshman goalkeeper Lacey Lehman, who had five shutouts.

Of the 12 total players on first team, only two are non-SCCS players.

Also receiving recognition are five SCCS players on the second team, including Savannah Benton, Elissa Phillips Jr., Susanna Gwinn Jr., Kimber Curry Jr., Shawna Tice Jr.
