Judge Graciela Freixes postponed Jaime Gonzalez's arraignment Monday in connection to an armed robbery at Ricky's Liquor in Canyon Country. Gonzalez will be back in court Feb. 25.

Gonzalez, 35 of Canyon Country, allegedly pointed a gun at the liquor store clerk and demanded money at about 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, according to a sheriff's statement. Gonzalez fled the location after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash.

Tipsters told Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Deputies what type of car Gonzalez drove, according to the sheriff's statement.

A deputy spotted the vehicle parked in the 18400 block of Jakes Way in Canyon Country on Thursday.

Gonzalez returned to the vehicle Thursday afternoon and deputies arrested him following a traffic stop, according to the sheriff's statement.

Deputies booked Gonzalez at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station on a felony robbery charge. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

The investigation is ongoing. Deputies ask anyone with information about this case to call (661) 255-1121.
