Marti Heinbaugh, regional manager of Mission Valley Bank, is scheduled to be honored for her contributions to SCVi – Santa Clarita Valley International Charter School.

SCVi is honoring Heinbaugh during a “Vision in Education Dinner” on March 16 at the Hyatt Regency Valencia hotel, a spokesperson said.

Marti saw what SCVi’s founders wanted to provide to the community and worked with Valley Bank executives to extend a line of credit to SCVi in the school’s first year, said Amber Raskin, founder of SCVi.

As the state of California issues payments to schools after they have incurred all of their expenses, the line of credit allowed the school to cover its expenses until state funding came in, she said.

Mission Valley Bank’s line of credit was extended in subsequent years, as a result of Heinbaugh’s assistance, Raskin said.

As a result of Heinbaugh’s efforts, SCVi was able to get the school started and keep its doors open. As a board member, she also assisted with referrals and mentoring for best business practices and personnel, Raskin said. That support impacted hundreds of families throughout the SCV, she said.

Heinbaugh is a longtime resident of the Santa Clarita Valley with more than 30 years of banking experience. She joined Mission Valley Bank as the Vice President and Manager of the Bank’s Centre Pointe Office in March 2007.
