A pedestrian was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Friday night after suffering potential head trauma in a traffic collision near Interstate 5, according to a California Highway Patrol officer.

CHP Officer Monica Posada said the collision occurred around 9:26 p.m. Friday on southbound I-5 north of Highway 126. Posada said it appeared several vehicles were involved in the collision.

The condition of the person transported to the hospital is currently unknown.
