State Sen. Fran Pavley, D-Agoura Hills, has introduced Senate Bill 267, which would require counties to designate certain college campuses with an on-campus population of more than 1,000 students as their own precincts in elections.
Doing so would let students who vote by mail and live in the same county as the campus drop off their ballots at a campus polling place.
In a news release, Pavley said the move would make it easier for students to vote, likely increasing turnout as a result.
