A 17-year-old boy was arrested Friday after allegedly brandishing a large knife at another person in a parking lot off Magic Mountain Parkway in Valencia, a Sheriff’s official said.

Sgt. Sam Soehnel of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station said the incident appeared to be fueled by road rage.

The suspect allegedly brandished the knife at another driver in the parking lot of the Target on Magic Mountain Parkway at McBean Parkway.

The suspect was arrested at 3:10 p.m. and charged with brandishing a knife in a threatening way, Soehnel said. Since the suspect is a minor, his name was not released.
