Government offices and local schools will be closed Monday as the nation observes Presidents Day.

Virtually all Santa Clarita city facilities will be shut down, including City Hall, all three branches of the public library, the city Activities Center and Sports Complex, and the Newhall and Canyon Country Community centers, said city spokeswoman Heather Sumagaysay.

The Santa Clarita Skate Park, located on Centre Pointe Parkway, will remain open, Sumagaysay said.

Los Angeles County offices are closed, as are all U.S. Post Offices. No mail will be delivered.

All five K-12 school districts in the Santa Clarita Valley will be closed, as will College of the Canyons.

The city’s bus service, Santa Clarita Transit, will operate on a normal schedule Monday except for limited service on its commuter routes into Los Angeles, Routes 794 and 799, as well as routes into Century City, numbers 792 and 797. Route changes can be found at www.santaclaritatransit.com.
