The driver of a Ford Mustang was transported by helicopter to a hospital with unknown injuries after the vehicle overturned on Vasquez Canyon Road approximately one mile east of Bouquet Canyon Road in Saugus on Monday evening.
Firefighters, California Highway Patrol officers and sheriff's deputies responded to the scene after the crash, which occurred at about 6:20 p.m.
The driver was transported by ground ambulance to Central Park in Saugus and then airlifted to a local hospital.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation Monday evening pending an interview with the driver, said CHP Sgt. Jim Mair.
The two-lane road was closed in both directions as authorities investigated the crash and a tow truck cleared the car from the scene.
