A car knocked over a transformer box in Stevenson Ranch on Monday, but there was no power outage, a spokeswoman for Southern California Edison said.
Shortly before 1:15 p.m., a car traveling on Hemingway Avenue crashed into a transformer mounted on a small concrete pad near Stevenson Ranch Parkway, said Anna Frutos-Sanchez.
No one was seriously hurt, even though a request was made for an ambulance by a California Highway Patrol officer.
Initial CHP reports indicated the car hit a pole, but Edison workers reported only a transformer was struck and damaged.
There was no power outage as a result of the crash, Frutos-Sanchez said.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department were dispatched to the single-vehicle traffic collision, but no one was taken to the hospital, a spokeswoman said.
