Mother Cheralyn Goeckeritz, nine-month-old Thomas Goeckeritz and Eliza Goeckeritz, 3, of Newhall, watch as Tyler Goeckeritz, 9, tries out an exercise routine using ropes, during the grand- reopening of the Results Fitness gym in Newhall, Thursday night. The gym, which went through a makeover, has added a Shake Cafe.

Results Fitness celebrated its grand re-opening Thursday at 24420 Walnut Street in Newhall.

The grand re-opening marks the completion of a complete gym makeover, including the addition of an all-natural-shake cafe and group coaching memberships, Rachel Cosgrove said.

"The space next to us became available so we took it over," she said. "So we decided to completely give our gym a face-lift and reinvent ourselves going into 2009."

Results Fitness was named one of America's Top 30 gyms by Men's Health Magazine, according to a company press release.

The nine-year-old fitness gym is locally owned and operated by husband and wife, Alwyn and Rachel Cosgrove. Alwyn Cosgrove has had two books published, "The New Rules of Lifting" and "The New Rules of Lifting For Women."

Rachel Cosgrove will have her first book published this year to be released in October of 2009.

Results Fitness offers memberships which are all-inclusive, meaning each membership includes a gym membership, an individualized program and a fitness coach at least once a week. Group fitness sessions and nutrition advice are also included, according to a news release.

Results Fitness works with people of all fitness levels. Each program is specifically designed for the individual using the principles they have found to work over and over again, the press release said.

"I must say that the transforming part of my journey was this gym and its staff," said Nina, a client of Results Fitness.

"I have never worked out in a facility that took such a personal interest in its clients. They motivated me in a way that has enforced a life style change that I will never go back to my old ways of feeling self-conscious about my self again."

Results Fitness' phone number is (661) 799-7900. The Web site is info@results-fitness.com.
