It was slow going for southbound motorists on Interstate 5 this morning when a pickup truck with a trailer jack-knifed under the Highway 14 overpass, a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol confirmed.

Shortly before 7:45 a.m. Thursday, CHP officers received report of a white pickup truck towing a trailer that had spun out on the freeway’s truck route lanes and crashed into the center divider, blocking traffic.

Firefighters with the Los Angeles Fire Department were dispatched.

There was no report of injury.

The crash stopped traffic in the fast lane for more than an hour.
